Facade and Sign Grants for our Business Owners

"The DDA Grant Program is currently under revision in an effort to accommodate businesses applying for grants and allow flexibility within the various grants offered.

Until the revisions are completed and approved by the DDA Board, grant applications are not available to be downloaded from this site, ALL GRANT APPLICATIONS MUST BE PICKED UP AT THE DDA OFFICE which is located at 22 W. Burdick.

For clarification purposes, please know that if you are applying for a grant, all paper work needs to be turned into the DDA office on the Thursday prior to the Design Committee meeting.  (The Design committee meets the first Monday of the month, therefore completed paperwork needs to turned in by the Thursday before this day.)

Completed paperwork includes: 
The grant application filled out and signed by the applicant; Copies of at least 3 bids obtained for the specific job; Photographs and/or drawings that are "before" and "after" (Often times, for a sign grant application, the before picture can be manipulated with photo shop to obtain the after picture); Samples of colors chosen and other materials to be used.  The more detailed information provided the easier it is for the Design committee to make an informed recommendation.  You should plan on attending the Design committee meeting when your application will be reviewed.

If the Design committee approves your grant request, then it is presented to the DDA board, at the next board meeting, for their decision.  (The DDA board meets two (2) weeks after the Design committee).  If the DDA board approves your request, you may begin construction.  Once your project is completed, you pay for it and submit your paid receipts to the DDA office for reimbursement.  Receipts received on the Monday prior to a DDA board meeting will be processed the Wednesday after the meeting.  You should also plan on attending the DDA board meeting when your application will be reviewed.

Please remember that IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR A GRANT, YOUR PROJECT MAY NOT BEGIN UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED APPROVAL FROM THE DDA BOARD.  If you have any questions, please contact the DDA office.  Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we improve our efforts to serve Oxford.
